THE RULERS FOR ADD ING TO THE VERBS.(Las reglas para agregar ING a los verbos)

It´s important you know the spelling rulers for add ING at the verbs.

Es muy importante que tu conozcas las reglas ortográficas para añadir ING a los verbos

-The major verbs, only add ING, example: eat = eating, ask = asking, go = going, enjoy = enjoying

La mayoría de los verbos, solo agrega ING, ejemplo: comer = comiendo, ir = llendo, disfrutar = disfrutando

-if a verb finishes in E, you must eliminate it, for add ING, example: dance = dancing

Si un verbo termina en E, tu debes eliminarla, para agregar ING, ejemplo: bailar = bailando

-The verbs of one syllable but with a vowel and consonant at the end, you double the final consonant, example: cut = cutting, stop = stopping, put = putting

Los verbos de una sola sílaba, pero con una vocal y una consonante al final, tu doblas la consonante final, ejemplo: cortar =cortando, parar = parando, poner, colocar = poniendo, colocando.

-But take care, if it finises in Y or in W, YOU DON´T DOUBLE IT, This is because in english fonetic, the Y and W, are considered vowels, examples: play = playing, buy = buying, draw = drawing, borrow = borrowing.

Pero cuidado, si el termina en Y o en W, tu no la dobles, esto es porque la fonética inglesa, la Y y la W, son consideradas vocales, ejemplos: jugar = jugando, comprar = comprando, dibujar = dibujando, fastidiar, aburrir = fastidiando, aburriendo.

- If the verb ends in IE, you eliminate its and add YING, example: lie = lying, die= dying, tie= tying.

Si el verbo termina en IE, tu las eliminas y añades YING, ejemplo: mentir = mintiendo, morir = muriendo, atar, amarrar = atando, amarrando.

-The verbs finish in L, you double the L, example: travel= travelling, cancel = cancelling.

Los verbos que terminan en L, tu doblas la L, ejemplo: viajar = viajando, cancelar = cancelando.

- If the accent doesn´t fall over the last syllable, you don´t double, example: listen = listening, remember = remembering.

Si el acento no cae sobre la última sílaba, tu no doblas, ejemplo: escuchar 0 escuchando, recordar = recordando.

But if the accent is over the last syllable, you double the final consonant, example: begin = beginning, forget = forgetting

Pero si el acento está sobre la última sílaba, tu doblas la consonante final, ejemplo: empezar = empezando, olvidar = olvidando.

En este video "mami-cocina" también encontrarás expresiones relacionadas con el ING, pero para referirse a planes que se van a realizar. ING también se usa para referirse a acciones habituales. Así tenemos, entonces que ING no solo es para referirse a acciones que se están realizando justo ahora, en este preciso momento.

Watch it carefully and discover the expression in progressive verbal tense, that there is, only there is one. The video is called "video mami cocina" mom in kitchen, "preparing my breakfast". Then, write it! Try to learn some expressions in the video and put its in practice, when you prepare your breakfast! (Míralo cuidadosamente y descubra la expresión en tiempo verbal progresivo que hay allí, solo hay una, y luego la escribes. Trata de aprender algunas expresiones del video y ponlas en práctica, cuando prepares tu desayuno).

1. Add the gerund, ING, at the following verbs:

2. Complete the following exercises, using the progressive present tense:


My mom _______preparing my breakfast right now. My dad _________working in a supermarket, he has to pay the rent, My little sisters_________still sleeping. My brother _______walking his dog and I________doing my chores: I ______sweeping the livingroom in this moment.


3. Match and write in the brakes (1 -10) with (a - j) the actions, according to the complement, and complete the expressions with a subject (who realize the action) on the line, for organize the "Little Red Riding Hood and the big bad wolf" story, making the story have a temporal sequence. Une y escribe, en el paréntesis (1 -10) con (a - j) -las acciones de acuerdo con el complemento y complete las expresiones con un sujeto (persona quien realiza la acción) sobre la linea, para organizar la historia de "Caperucita Roja y el gran Lobo feroz", haciendo que la historia tenga una secuencia temporal.

2. Find some expressions in the guide book "Way to go 7" or in the other texts.

3. Write all the simple present tense expressions you found in the "video mami- cocina" and change to progressive presente tense expressions
